Studies have shown that Haitian immigrants residing in the United States experience health issues related to high body mass index(BMI). Much literature is not available on this problem; the author has tried to bridge this literature gap using various theories and frameworks about Haitian immigrants. This book is on the findings of a cross-sectional study under the Schwartz model of acculturation. This research shows that there is no direct relationship between BMI and length of stay in America. This research can help the medical professional understand the beliefs and prevailing opinions of the Haitian immigrant community. The health professionals use the outcome of this study to understand their patients more, and eventually, it makes the diagnosing process easy
